rainbow nails.

Day nine of the 31 Day Challenge, rainbow nails!
I had so many ideas for this one, rainbow tips, rainbows, each nail a different color, etc. However, for now, this one won. :)

I was a little strapped for time so this is not to the best of my ability, I should of taken the time to do this properly with scotch tape or something.
Thumb: Avon "Tangtastic" & Avon "Urban Grey" 2 coats each

strobe lights & disco balls

Ahhh! No words can describe the immense amount of love I have for this beautiful, holographic, sparkly, glittery beauty. I probably wouldn't wear it alone, but I absolutely needed to show off this beauty. The second picture is intentionally blurry to show off the holographic beauty of this lovely new friend of mine. :)

Sally Hansen Xtreme Nails "Strobe Light" 4 coats.

THEN, because this color was irresitable, I decorated it a little bit. However, when I was removing this.. I realized I took no pictures, SO i quickly redid it on one hand just to show off. The dots were much more even the first time, but you get the idea.

Base: Sally Hansen Xtreme Nails "Strobe Light" 4 coats
Dots: Revlon Scented "Bubble Gum" 2 coat
Dots are done with a bobby pin, because I lack a dotting tool.

my name is bubblegum, live for moon and sun

Revlon Scented Collection "Bubblegum" 3 coats
Oh my gosh! Such a delightful scent. I've yused this polish for 4 different manicures since I got it yesterday, heh. I just looove the scent wafting from my fingertips.

all i wanna see is a sky full of lighters

I was getting kinda bored today & decided to swatch some of my international haul polishes, however, i'm losing light pretty quickly so two of them will have to wait until another day. This post is also a comparison post because of the slight similarity I noticed between one new and one old polish.

Thumb, Middle and Pinky finger are wearing 17 Lasting Fix "Orange Soda" 4 coats
Index and Ring finger are wearing Revlon Scented "Mad About Mango" 4 coats
As far as the color, Mad About Mango is slightly darker, however, on the first coat these two look almost identical. As for coverage, Man About Mango was good in three coats but I did 4 for a fair comparison. If I had to choose between the two, i'd probably pick Mad About Mango just  because of the scent, it smells amazing and kind of reminds me of mango frozen yogurt. However, I do love the color of both polishes equally.

so hold me closer tiny dancer

2nd manicure of today!
I got a little lazy with my swatching tonight so I did two colours on one hand.

Thumb & Middle Finger: Wet n Wild "Bite the Bullet" 2 coats
Index & Ring Finger: Revlon Scented Collection "Beach" 3 coats
Pinky Finger: Bite the Bullet with Beach on top.

For my pinky finger, I decided to try something new and I layered the two colours, when I first thought of the idea I figured it'd look silly, but, it turns out that I really liked it! It gives it a goldish look that I really liked!
As for "Bite the Bullet", I really like it and it went on flawlessly!
However, "Beach" was less impressive to me. In natural light it's a lot more yellow than it appears in the bottle. I kinda like it though! As for the scent, when I smell it, it reminds me of sunscreen rather than the beach.

grape icy

This is a swatch of the polish I was talking about yesterday.
It's from Revlon's Scented collection and is called Grape Icy. It's VERY sheer on the first coat but covers fairly well afterwards. This is four coats but I think I could of gotten away with three.

Much like "Mad About Mango", i'm not sure how likely I am to wear this polish again, at least not without nail art or a top coat.

mad about mango.

So, I bought this yesterday as well as "Grape Icy" from the same Revlon collection.
It's a nice pastel orange called "Mad About Mango" and as the name suggests, it smells just like Mango! It actually reminded me of Lucerne Mango Icecream.
It took 4 coats to get it this opaque and if I was going to keep this on, I would of done another coat for safety. However, I just put this on to swatch and to see if the scent really worked, it does!
As I type this, it is already off and i'm working on another manicure.

I like this color, however, i'm not sure how likely I am to wear it again. Next time I think i'll add a sparkly top coat and some nail art such as yellow fireworks or blue dots.
