For my song, I picked "Ashes" by Andy Brown, it's definitely one of my top played, even though I just discovered it on Thursday on the newest episode of Rookie Blue! If you haven't heard the song, or watched the show, go do both!!

Day twenty one of the 31 Day Challenge, nails inspired by a color!
For today's manicure I picked teal. This is because September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness month, there's also a wonderful campaign going on called "Teal Toes" which is an awareness campaign set to raise awareness about ovarian cancer and hopefully get the message out there that Ovarian Cancer should not be ignored! I'm gonna be perfectly honest with you, I haate doing water marbles. Haate. Hate, hate.
They never turn out for me, despite my efforts, and I just overall don't like the way they look on me, but I'll post my efforts.

Also, in full disclosure, ring finger and pinky were just painted like that.

I've wanted to try this for so long, i've loved every one that i've seen ! However, I always thought "No way can I do that", turns out, I can !!

Now, I considered doing a full leopard print mani, because i've never done a full one, but I absolutely love zebra print so I couldn't resist.

polka dot nails.

Day eleven of the 31 Day Challenge, polka dot nails!
Now, to me, polka dots scream matte. I love love love matte polka dots. However, I lack matte polish, heh. SO, we are settling for the next best thing! :)
I typically don't wear polka dots very often because I go too quickly and just don't get them spaced out nicely. My own fault, and although I know how to solve this problem, it's possible that I never will. :)

As you can see, it's got a blueish/purpleish tint in natural light but is very grey in artificial light.

In natural light, I wouldn't exactly call it slate.

Day ten of the 31 Day Challenge, gradient nails!
I think it turned out alright, for a first try at least!
I'm confident that with a little practice I could nail this one better.
I only did this on one hand for now because i'm gonna remove it and try again.

I did this really roughly because I just wanted to try it out, next time i'm gonna do it much straighter and stay a little further from the cuticle.

I had so many ideas for this one, rainbow tips, rainbows, each nail a different color, etc. However, for now, this one won. :)

I was a little strapped for time so this is not to the best of my ability, I should of taken the time to do this properly with scotch tape or something.

Now, I was shockingly out of ideas and didn't want to do another zebra print manicure because I find that i'm wearing those quite a bit lately. I also sort of knew that I wanted french tips today, but since it's black and white, I needed a little twist!
I did this really quickly and the pictures are to be desired as they were taken later last night than I would have liked.

violet nails.

Day six of the 31 Day Challenge, violet nails!

My clematis :)

I had this manicure on yesterday, as yesterday was violet day, I just didn't get a chance to post.

This is another untried of mine and frankly, I don't know why! I absolutely love it.

However, with more than one coat (I did 3) The glitter gets covered in the purple base and then just looks like bubbles. Next time, i'll paint my nails purple first and then 1 top coat.

The little sticks in this polish (most noticeable on my index finger) are holographic and beautiful but there's definitely not enough of them!

This is definitely one of my most used, hence the quite empty bottle. I'm glad I bought a second bottle because this one is getting thick... :(
It's the perfect bright blue and matches so many of my outfits, it gets worn a lot.

Today is day two of the 31 Day Challenge, orange nails!

This *could* be one of my untrieds... i've had it forever, way way before i ever started doing my nails every day and so as far as i'm concerned, it's untried. :)

These two oranges are VERY similar, candy corn is a little bit lighter however. I typically don't wear orange, I just don't feel like it matches my skin tone and I don't have a lot of orange clothes to pair it with. However, i'm determined to stick to this 31 day challenge! Now, just to explain, the tips of my nails are not showing, they were originally white on top of the red but it just didn't look great to me so I attempted to paint over them, as we see, this failed, so I later redid this manicure, I just don't have pics of the redo.

I think i'm in a glitter rut lately, all of a sudden it 's all i'm doing!

Color Institute "Irresistable" 5 coats

Now, it was opaque after about 3 coats but I couldn't resist this and kept adding coats upon coats.

It's sparkly and pretty and reflects whatever it is facing! I was wearing a pink shirt earlier and every time I looked down at my fingers, they were pink too! As you can see on my middle finger in this picture, it has a turquoise tinge, it's because I was wearing turquoise at the time. :)

I love the sparkle and how much this reflects, with my other silver polishes (Namely Sally Hansen Xtreme Nails "Celeb City") It's simply not as pretty as this! This polish is much less flat then other glitter polishes that I have tried. It's almost like you see every piece of glitter on your nails, which really doesn't come across in photographs.
