don't you dare look out your window, darling everything's on fire .

I've been looking for this one forever, and I finally found it!
I've seen magnetic nail polish all over facebook and other nail blogs, and finally came across a display at the store that I buy most of my polishes at a couple weeks ago. However, the display was empty !! Today I found this one on an eyeshadow display and had to get it, regardless of the color. I don't know when/where I'll ever actually wear it but I wanted to try it out really quickly tonight and it actually turned out pretty cool. Excuse the picture quality - I just took a couple quick iPhone pics, because I didn't leave this manicure on for more than 10 minutes.

One coat
After the magnet

So in case you guys don't know how it works, you put one coat on, then let it dry. Then, you put on another coat (The bottle says to put a thick coat on, I just put a normal one) and immediately hold the magnet (lid of the bottle) over your nail for 10 seconds, and it makes the waves!

So, this is my first true nude manicure, and I absolutely love it!
I was going to add some nail art to it, but I got tired last night and didn't get to it. I will though, to update this after I get bored of it in a couple days.

Revlon Colorstay "Bare Bones" ~4 coats

I also just learned photoshop, so in my future posts, I'll be trying that out :)

mainstreet, 1979.

So, I've been after this color for AGES. Since I'm from Canada, we don't have a lot of the lovely polishes that are sold in the UK! The last time my Mom went back to Scotland, the polish addict in me sent her with a shopping list - some of which she fulfilled, but she couldn't find this beauty after visiting more than one place for me! However, this time, I didn't send her with a list, and she unknowingly brought me back the one I wanted the most!
I love the color, love the formula and love the coverage! In the next few days, I'll do a real mani with it, but I just wanted to do a quick post testing out the color!

It needs another coat - but I'm taking it off in a hurry - so expect a better post with this beauty soon!

beeee-a-youtiful.

Wow- it's been a crazy year! But my University year is officially over! Meaning, more time for blogging! It was an amazing year, and included a week-long service trip to New Orleans, which was absolutely perfect, pictures at the end of this post, because I just can't resist! I absolutely fell in love with the city, the people and the culture there! I also picked up some polishes there (I know, I know, surprising right?!) which I will be posting in the next couple days!
Anyways, on with things!
I found these polishes yesterday and just couldn't resist! There are 6 (I think) in total, but I just picked my top 3 for now, I suspect I may go back for a couple others. They're glittery, duochrome, and beautiful. Also, a little hard to photograph in their full glory :P.

Wet N Wild "Speak When Spoken to" 3 coats
It's a nice blue at one angle, and then pink/purple in another, although in these pictures it just looks silver! It has gold, red, green, blue, purple and silver mini hex glitter through it, and then blue and purple microglitter! I love these!

And, as promised.. New Orleans! So much love, I definitely need to go back, very son.
